    Peer Parliament

Peer Parliament consists of two elected student representatives from each tutor group.

These young people represent their fellow students in the decisions about and around school. We are responsible for relaying the subjects discussed back to our tutor group, and then asking our fellow students for their opinions and whether they have anything they want us to bring up in our fortnightly meetings.

Most decisions concerning school go through Peer Parliament and those that don’t, we are informed about and kept up to date with, such as the design of the new buildings. Most recently Peer Parliament has been responsible for the colour choices in the new building and the names given to it: ‘Longmoor Building’ and ‘Heywood Hall’ were named after local woods following a suggestion by Peer Parliament.  Mr Stevens is currently the teacher with responsibility for supporting our Peer Parliament.
