Ten Tors and Duke of Edinburgh Update
As our training gets tougher, good news about our bid for teams on the Ten Tors event, with confirmation that we've been allocated a second team!
The training is intensifying for the determined participants in this year's Ten Tors event and Duke of Edinburgh award. With full weight in their packs, longer distances to cover, and typical Dartmoor weather to contend with, the training challenges are becoming tougher all the time. Fortunately, our brave students are up to the task!
Despite more stringent rules in place this year, we have been lucky enough to be allocated two teams for the 35 mile Ten Tors event in May, which means that 12 of our students will have the opportunity to take part in this prestigious, nationally recognised event. At the same time, several more are working towards their DofE bronze or silver awards, with their expeditions to follow later this year.
Good luck to all participants, and keep up the good work!
