Required from January 2024

We are looking to recruit outstanding, enthusiastic, and committed teachers to join our pool of supply teachers to provide long and short-term cover across our three primary schools located at Chulmleigh, Lapford and East Worlington.

Successful candidates will create a positive and creative learning environment. The role offers flexibility, but we are seeking reliable and well organised candidates.

As a primary supply teacher, you will cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, working closely with other teachers and teaching assistants to ensure the pupils receive the best experience to support their learning. Setting of work and assessment may be required for longer term cover placements.

You will need a PGCE/BEd qualification or equivalent as well as a passion for education.  Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references, including your most recent employer, and eligibility to work in the UK.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of how children learn and how to translate this into high quality teaching and learning. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and engagement in appropriate assessment processes and inclusive practices; and share a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We would welcome applications from candidates with good knowledge and previous experience of teaching at EYFS, Key Stage 1 or 2. All candidates should share our commitment to developing each child’s individual strengths to ensure every child succeeds.
