Following the consultation Devon Education Forum will agree the final formula and make recommendations to Elected Members for their final decision. We need to wait and see the outcomes of the consultation before it is clear of the impact of the new formula on Chulmleigh Academy Trust schools.

Wednesday Afternoon - The Right Honorable Sajid Javid MP and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport visited the College to formally open the new Reception Area. While Sajid was at the College we were able to discuss with him our plans for Phase 3 of building and site development.

Wednesday Afternoon - Visit to East Worlington Primary School to meet with Suzie Pinn, Senior Teacher, and learn how the year was starting at the school. There were challenges at the school with the accommodation due to the poor condition of the School House, however from an educational persepective the year was starting well. Suzie was settling in to her new school and new role and was full of praise for parents who had helped and supported the school.

Thursday Afternoon - Visit to Burrington School to attend the Ethos Committee. Director Paul Osborne was in the chair and we discussed school self-evaluation, how the pupils could have more of a role in the Ethos Committee, and future plans for the development of a Foundation Stage Unit at the school.
