Tuesday - Meeting Tracey and Angela with Tim about East Worlington Primary School - Meeting Adrian - Meeting Mike - ACMF Meeting - Resources Committee Meeting - Business Development Group.

Thursday - Shortlisting for Assistant Headteacher post - Shortlisting for Senior Teacher post.

Tuesday morning Tim Newman and myself met with Tracey Dodd and Angela Joslin at a Directors' Monitoring and Support meeting. Director Monitoring and Support meetings are held for each school and aim to ensuring Directors are well informed about each school. This meeting was focussed on East Worlington Primary School.  The agenda of the meeting included:

  • pupil performance data which showed the data for pupil progress and achievement
  • pupil premium
  • more able
  • SEN
  • Safeguarding
  • Quality of Teaching
  • Management and Leadership
  • Kirkland Rowell Survey information

Tuesday afternoon

Weekly meeting with Adrian. The main agenda item this week was the progress with the presentation of the Strategic Plan for the Trust. The main aim is to present the plan in an electronic format on our website.

Weekly meeting with Mike. On our agenda this week was:

  • Pupil progress in Y11
  • Staff Interviews
  • Pre-school developments
  • Links with Exeter College
  • Local Learning Community
  • Arranging the Directors' Monitoring and Support meeting for Chulmleigh Community College
  • CPD update
  • Preparation for next week's meeting with Jon and Tracy

Academies Capital Maintenance Fund (ACMF) Meeting The Directors' ACMF group was established two years ago to monitor and support the build programme across the Academy linked to national funding provision. The group, who are David Worden, Keith Greenwood, Mike Johnson and myself meet monthly with Terry Pullen. Adrian attends all meeting and takes minutes. At this meeting Terry provided an update on phase 1 and phase 2 building programme at Chulmleigh Community College. He explained the outcomes of the application to ACMF for funding for a third year and confirmed that funding had been secured for essential maintenance at East Worlington Primary School, Burrington Primary School and improvements to the kitchen at Chulmleigh Community College .

Resources Committee meeting covered a numbers of items associated with finance, personnel and buildings / facilities.

Business Development Directors' Group had an agenda that considered the strategic issues for sustaining and developing the provision across the Academy Chain. The meeting included an update on the new CAT website and feedback has been very positive.
